Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts within the SIEM platform during weekend hours to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct forensic investigations into security breaches, unauthorized access attempts, and anomalous trading activity.
- Manage vulnerability scanning and patch management cycles to ensure system integrity for equity trading systems.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 SOC team to develop and refine incident response playbooks for off-hours scenarios.
- Generate detailed reports on security incidents, threat trends, and system health for executive leadership.
- Enforce strict access controls and perform regular audits of privileged accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically within a SOC or Network Security role.
- Mandatory Requirement: Must be available and willing to work rotating weekend shifts (e.g., Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors (e.g., SQL Injection, Phishing, DDoS).
- Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, or Palo Alto Networks.
