In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for maintaining the security posture of our critical infrastructure during our high-coverage weekend shifts. You will act as the primary responder during off-hours, ensuring our clients remain protected from evolving cyber threats while enjoying a predictable schedule free from weekday office distractions.

Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts across the corporate network 24/7 during designated weekend shifts.
- Perform real-time incident response and remediation to contain breaches and restore system integrity.
- Analyze log data and telemetry using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.) to identify suspicious activity.
- Execute proactive threat hunting strategies to uncover hidden threats before they are exploited.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and resolution steps in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with the Monday-Friday team to ensure seamless handover of open investigations and complex cases.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management reviews during quiet periods.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or network defense role.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Must be available to work a rotating weekend schedule (e.g., Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
