Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and analyze alerts for potential intrusions 24/7 during weekend coverage.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments on weekends.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents using standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with the SOC team to correlate data and identify emerging threat trends.
- Generate and maintain detailed reports on security posture and incident metrics.
- Perform log analysis and forensic review of compromised endpoints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC or Information Security role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or IBM QRadar).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during off-hours.
