Responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 security operations center (SOC) monitoring and incident response
- Conduct advanced threat hunting using Splunk, SIEM, and EDR platforms
- Develop/implement zero-trust architectures and cloud security frameworks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Coordinate cross-functional incident response for major breaches
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and Texas cyber regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and document security procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in SOC/IR roles
- Active CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification required
- Expertise in SIEM (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Experience with Azure/AWS security and containerized environments
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Proven incident response handling for ransomware or APT attacks
- Ability to work rotating shifts during critical incidents
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
