Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.).
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies to ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC2, HIPAA).
- Lead incident response efforts during cyber-attacks to minimize business impact and restore operations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and on-premise networks.
- Provide security awareness training to employees and conduct regular security audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification (CEH, Security+).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
