Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or ELK Stack).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewall rules, intrusion prevention systems, and access controls.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with IT teams for rapid remediation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate security into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows and Linux server administration.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident response procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if applicable).
