Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage advanced security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Conduct proactive threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and incident response coordination
- Develop comprehensive security documentation and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Lead cross-functional security initiatives including penetration testing and risk assessments
- Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement of security operations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security-by-design principles
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in security operations or threat intelligence
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification required (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Proven experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) and familiarity with automation tools
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61, SANS)
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Active U.S. security clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
