Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analyses to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security breaches and develop remediation strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to design secure network architectures and software development lifecycle (SDLC) security.
- Create and maintain detailed security documentation, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network administration.
- Certifications are highly preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Clearance to work with sensitive data is required.
