Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the SIEM environment (Splunk/Splunk ES).
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, including malware analysis and root cause analysis.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Manage endpoint protection strategies, ensuring all devices are up-to-date with the latest signatures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC environment or as a Security Analyst.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security architectures.
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, QRadar) and Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
