Apex Cyber Solutions is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite Security Operations Center (SOC) in the heart of Austin, Texas. Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify gaps in our security posture before exploitation occurs.
- Lead incident response investigations, root-cause analysis, and remediation strategies for security breaches.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security controls and harden network architecture.
- Manage and maintain patch management schedules and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Produce detailed incident reports and security dashboards for stakeholders and executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation and log analysis.
- Deep understanding of the NICE Framework and standard incident response lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call for critical security incidents.
