Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards.
- Perform advanced threat hunting to identify malicious activity and potential intrusions before they cause damage.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement robust security architectures and firewalls.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response procedures.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error and phishing risks.
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotation support for critical security events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or GIAC GCIH certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools such as FireEye, Splunk, Snort, or Palo Alto Networks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance or willingness to undergo background investigation.
