Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events via SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to ensure 24/7 threat coverage.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.
- Lead incident response efforts, conducting forensic analysis and root cause analysis for security breaches.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Manage access controls and user authentication protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and industry trends to proactively advise the organization on risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active certification such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, including SOC operations or threat hunting.
- Strong technical knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Proven experience with SIEM solutions, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and firewalls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure during security incidents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
