Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis of internal systems.
- Lead the incident response process for security breaches and data loss events.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST.
- Collaborate with IT operations to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees regarding phishing and social engineering.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to proactively defend the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Cybersecurity, IT Security, or Network Engineering.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors (e.g., SQL Injection, XSS).
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting security findings.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
