Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance (SOC2, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and on-premise networks.
- Lead forensic investigations into security breaches and produce detailed incident reports.
- Train staff on security awareness and phishing prevention.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network defense.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if applicable).
