Job Summary
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. You will manage security operations center (SOC) activities, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement robust security protocols to safeguard our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and networks.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Lead incident response investigations, including root cause analysis and remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement security controls and patch management strategies.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff regarding phishing, social engineering, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network administration.
- Active CISSP, CEH, CISM, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, attack vectors, and defense mechanisms.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strict confidentiality.
