Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations centers (SOC) 24/7 for alerts, incidents, and anomalies using SIEM tools like Splunk or Sentinel.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and awareness training programs for employees.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and on-premise environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, or GCIH is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
