Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm) and correlate data to identify potential threats.
- Perform daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware infections and unauthorized access attempts.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to harden firewalls and secure network architecture.
- Conduct regular security audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SOC analysis, incident response, or network security.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid environment (Remote + Columbus, OH).
