Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response for APT attacks, ransomware, and zero-day exploits
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across hybrid cloud environments
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Maintain NIST 800-53 compliance frameworks and audit documentation
- Mentor junior analysts and drive security awareness initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in threat detection/response
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security services and cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on experience with EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong background in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP)
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (sponsorship available)
