Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and propose remediation strategies.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus solutions to safeguard network perimeters.
- Lead incident response efforts during security breaches, including digital forensics, root cause analysis, and post-incident recovery.
- Develop and maintain detailed security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure strict regulatory compliance (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT operations and software development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
