Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts via SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to detect potential threats.
- Conduct thorough log analysis and vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement containment strategies.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, CIS, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems.
- Produce detailed incident reports and security documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCFA are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with security tools like FireEye, Darktrace, or Cisco Duo.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during active security events.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
