Responsibilities
- 24/7 Security Monitoring: Actively monitor the Security Operations Center (SOC) for alerts, threats, and anomalies during the night shift to ensure zero downtime.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and containment of security breaches, working closely with the forensics team to minimize damage.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure.
- SIEM Management: Analyze logs and data streams using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify suspicious activity and generate reports.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce strict security protocols and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001) across all company systems.
- Collaboration: Partner with the threat intelligence team to share insights and develop strategies to counter emerging cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and tools like Splunk, Wireshark, and FireEye.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models, and common attack vectors (Phishing, Ransomware, SQL Injection).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously during night shifts.
