Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) alerts and indicators of compromise (IOCs) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct deep-dive investigations into security incidents, root cause analysis, and execute incident response plans to mitigate breaches.
- Manage and tune security information and event management (SIEM) systems to reduce false positives and improve detection capabilities.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Collaborate with the incident response team to develop and maintain playbooks for various cyberattack scenarios.
- Document all security events, investigations, and actions in accordance with compliance standards and audit requirements.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats, vulnerability trends, and industry best practices to proactively enhance our security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a SOC or incident response role.
- Strong proficiency in security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, or similar SIEM solutions.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, VPNs, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure during a security breach.
- Willingness to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) with high reliability.
