Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and neutralize threats.
- Conduct 24/7 threat hunting and log analysis to uncover hidden security vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and triage security incidents, creating detailed reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to ensure seamless handovers and incident resolution.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security policies and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and security patch management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC or Network Security role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK Stack, or similar) is highly required.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to work independently and effectively during night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
