Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across enterprise environments during night shift hours
- Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis of cyber threats
- Implement and optimize SIEM rules, IDS/IPS signatures, and threat intelligence feeds
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enhance security controls
- Document incident reports, playbooks, and security procedures
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors through continuous research
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with SOC/NOC night shift exposure
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH (required); GIAC preferred
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat hunting
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations during night shifts
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
