Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during night shift operations
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware analysis and threat hunting
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security controls to protect cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards
- Document security procedures and prepare incident response reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and defensive technologies through continuous training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with night shift or 24/7 operations
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience in threat intelligence and incident response
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to work independently during night shift with minimal supervision
- Valid U.S. security clearance or willingness to obtain one
