Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Manage and maintain firewall, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Develop and execute security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement secure coding practices.
- Lead incident response drills and prepare executive briefings on security posture.
- Stay current on emerging threats and cybersecurity trends.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Network Defense.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to relocate to New York, NY.
