In this pivotal role, you will lead our Security Operations Center (SOC) initiatives, identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited, and ensure our compliance with stringent federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools like Splunk and Sentinel.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with NIST and CIS standards.
- Lead incident response efforts for cyber-attacks, ensuring business continuity and data recovery.
- Manage cloud security configurations for AWS and Azure environments.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent advanced certification.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Experience with forensics and malware analysis is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
