Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities and anomalies using SIEM tools (Splunk, Azure Sentinel).
- Investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents and breaches in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain robust security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to design and enforce security policies.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed audit trails.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or security operations environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GSEC.
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security architectures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
