Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts within the Security Operations Center (SOC) using SIEM tools like Splunk or Sentinel.
- Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis for security incidents and breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify weaknesses in systems and networks.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
