Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation, containment, and eradication of security breaches and cyberattacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network and systems.
- Access Control: Manage and review user access rights, ensuring strict adherence to the principle of least privilege and compliance standards.
- Compliance Reporting: Prepare and present reports on security posture, incident trends, and compliance status to stakeholders and management.
- Firewall & Network Security: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to secure network perimeters.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with SIEM tools, log analysis, and incident response procedures.
- Network Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, VPNs, and common network protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
