Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential entry points for attackers.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to enforce strict security policies.
- Investigate security breaches, perform forensic analysis, and develop incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT teams to secure cloud environments and ensure secure coding practices.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities to proactively harden systems.
- Generate comprehensive reports on security posture and compliance status for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security models.
- Proficiency with security tools, including IDS/IPS, SIEM, and DLP solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and reporting.
