Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to detect and respond to cyber threats.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Implement and manage security policies, procedures, and access controls in compliance with NIST and ISO standards.
- Investigate security breaches, root cause analysis, and coordinate recovery efforts with IT teams.
- Manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security hardware/software.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to internal stakeholders to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with incident response methodologies and forensics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical teams.
