Apex Cyber Systems is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite security team in Austin, Texas. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Develop and update incident response plans and playbooks to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
