Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, coordinating with legal and management teams as required.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in the network and systems.
- Risk Assessment: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data and ensure business continuity.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC2.
- Security Awareness: Train and educate staff on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+, or GIAC GCIH certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues and think critically under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
