Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and trends within the SIEM environment to detect and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems to maintain a secure network perimeter.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error and social engineering risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly desired.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for on-site security audits if required.
