Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents via SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and SOC 2 standards.
- Investigate security breaches, root cause analysis, and provide remediation recommendations.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and policies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with threat intelligence tools and log analysis.
- CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to security incidents during off-hours if required.
