Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and coordinate incident response activities.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Produce detailed security reports and metrics for stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and industry trends to recommend proactive defenses.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret/Top Secret) if required.
