Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to ensure network integrity and data privacy.
- Lead incident response investigations, coordinating with internal teams and external authorities.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and security tools (Burp Suite, Metasploit).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to executive stakeholders.
