Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity frameworks including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat hunting across hybrid environments
- Incident response leadership: coordinate breach mitigation, forensic analysis, and recovery procedures
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into DevOps pipelines and cloud architectures
- Monitor SIEM alerts, investigate anomalies, and produce executive security reports
- Lead security awareness training programs for cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on experience in threat detection and incident response
- Certifications required: CISSP or CISM; preferred: CompTIA Security+, CEH, or AWS/Azure Security
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS (Snort, Suricata), and endpoint security platforms
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure), network protocols, and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to thrive under pressure during security incidents
