As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against sophisticated cyber threats. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside industry veterans to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents. Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure and applications.
- Investigate security incidents, root-cause analysis, and develop containment strategies to minimize business impact.
- Manage patch management processes and ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations (NIST, HIPAA, CUI).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Document security incidents, procedures, and technical configurations to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or incident response.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and security monitoring.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance (if applicable to the role).
