Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and SIEM data to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and lead response efforts for security breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network architecture.
- Document security incidents, trends, and procedures to maintain a robust security knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or SOC operations.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency with security tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, Snort).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
