Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across network infrastructure to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents and coordinate the incident response process to minimize downtime and damage.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses before malicious actors exploit them.
- Develop, maintain, and update security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Analyze log data and generate reports to provide actionable intelligence to stakeholders and senior management.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure hardening.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar) and endpoint protection solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities during a security crisis.
