Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis of security breaches
- Develop and implement security playbooks for emerging threats (ransomware, APTs)
- Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Generate executive-level security risk assessments and compliance reports
- Lead tabletop exercises and red team simulations for resilience testing
- Manage vulnerability remediation prioritization across hybrid cloud environments
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification required (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Expertise in NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS Controls frameworks
- Advanced skills in network forensics (Wireshark, tcpdump) and log analysis
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure GCP) and IaaS/PaaS environments
- Strong scripting capabilities (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain government clearance preferred
