Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify sophisticated threats
- Lead incident response activities for security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of enterprise systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, procedures)
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement security controls
- Perform forensic investigations for complex security incidents
- Provide security awareness training to employees
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (with additional advanced certs)
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 security operations
