Responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 security operations center (SOC) monitoring using Splunk, QRadar, and CrowdStrike
- Conduct forensic investigations of advanced persistent threats (APTs) and zero-day exploits
- Develop/implement NIST-compliant security policies and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Manage vulnerability assessments using Qualys and Nessus across hybrid cloud environments
- Mentor junior analysts while maintaining SIEM dashboards and alerting thresholds
- Present threat intelligence briefings to CISOs and executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response
- Certified CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)
- Expertise in threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Proficient in Python/PowerShell for automation of security workflows
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations environment
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
