Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security controls align with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees
- Analyze complex security incidents and provide detailed reports to stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with threat detection and incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and network analyzers
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with compliance frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
