Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Perform forensic investigations and root cause analysis of security breaches
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Proficiency with security tools: FireEye, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to thrive under pressure
