Responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 security operations center (SOC) monitoring and threat hunting initiatives
- Design and implement advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and breach response
- Develop comprehensive security documentation and incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into cloud infrastructure
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements
- Present security metrics to executive leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with SOC/operations experience
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (required)
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
