Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and manage patch management processes to ensure system integrity.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards, including SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis, root cause determination, and post-incident reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols and conduct regular access reviews.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees to reduce human error and phishing risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is strongly required.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
