Responsibilities
- Lead incident response for sophisticated cyber attacks, including APTs and ransomware
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Develop and implement zero-trust security architectures and NIST 800-53 controls
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and triage critical security alerts
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Document security procedures and create executive-level threat briefings
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in threat detection/response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or OSCP required
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong programming skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization
- Ability to handle high-pressure incidents with minimal supervision
- Clearance eligibility for government contracts preferred
